This might be the most popular blazer in Hollywood right now if both Leslie Bibb and Blake Lively are wearing it. I wonder if celebrities find it annoying or even embarrassing to be wearing the same thing as someone else. Then you end up on those "Who Wore It Best" features in magazines and online and people are rarely kind in their responses. I suppose that's one perk of buying most of my clothes at thrift stores- there's very little chance of me showing up in the same thing someone else is wearing!
Daily Details:
- weather: cool with rain showers
- moto-sweater, old, cost $60 divided by 6 uses = approximate current cost per wear (accpw) $10
- jeans, thrifted, accpw less than $1
- tunic, thrifted, accpw $1.33
- booties, old, accpw $3

That is the cutest tunic on you. Love the funky artsy fabric. You always look better than the Hollywood version. Hope you have a good week Vivienne.
ReplyDeleteI think they both look lovely...it is a great jacket:) Your own outfit looks good also, love your tunic! Have a great week:)

Did you honk at me today?? Yes, that was me and my man today walking. It was nice until the rain came.
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't honk at you! I did a quick head spin, waved my arms frantically and shouted your name, but that's about it! (I'm kidding!)
DeleteYOU wore it best!

ps It's really just a recording but if you ever get a chance to just hang out & listen to vinyl you might find it to be a different sort of experience ;-)
it must just be in hollywood, because i could find nothing like it in my closet!! i would hate that, though///especially if i wasn't the "winner"! i love your take. the pattern on that shirt is so fun!
ReplyDeleteI share your opinion about thrift stores. it's great when you can be almost sure you're the only one wearing "that" piece. and when the piece is vintage it's even better.
ReplyDeleteby the way, I like your inspirational outfit, especially the combo of that jacket and the colourful tunic.
and I think both, Leslie and Blake, rock their jacket just great!

Exactly! I love thrifting unique pieces that I know nobody else will have...like your tunic for example :)
ReplyDeleteI hate those 'who wore it best?' features in magazines - it's so mean! Though I have to admit to laughing from time to time at some of the commentary.
I love your tunic!! I think I prefer it over the jacket actually! And I do laugh at those "who wore it best" features, they are kind of funny sometimes!
ReplyDeleteYour tunic is so perfect for this look! Love the print and the detail around the waist. Nice!
ReplyDeletethat dress is SO CUTE! i love ittttt. i kind of don't get the who wore it best thing - why can't we wear the same things? once my friend had a blog with this other girl (kind of like how two birds girls do it) and she got the same blazer as the other girl at h&m. my friend wore it on the blog first and i was taking the photos of them and this girl was yeling at my friend saying 'ugh why do you get to wear it first? why would you buy the same thing as me' and it was awful and i sat there trying to convince her it was a good thing because it showed readers how a piece could be styled in different ways on different body types. what i should have been like was 'shut up woman you're being rude!' anyhow we always joke (we do own some of the same clothing. i like owning the same clothing as my friends. why now) when we both like something and say 'but you can't wear it on the blog first!'

Their blazers are pretty, but I like yours in the basic black because it has so much more potential for remixes! I often wonder if celebrities even pay attention to magazines and stuff because after a while and being featured everywhere, it's probably not as big of a deal as it would be to "real people" LOL
ReplyDeleteI wish I was better at thrifting! Love your tunic.

ReplyDeleteOoh, check you out in your amazing dress- that's a great match! Looking really lovely in it! Yes, I always find it funny when I wear the same as someone else! For a celeb, it must a embarassing, like you say!
ReplyDeleteI take YOU any day.

Nice job finding two different celebs wearing that same jacket! I like how you mixed it up with wearing the pattern underneath the black instead of over the top.
ReplyDeletev, you blouse is so close to the pattern on the blazer! blake wore it better. it looks more effortless & casual on her. that's why i like thrift store shopping too.
ReplyDeleteyou thought like i did, go outside, in for this look
ReplyDeletegreat job and ps...blake looks better in the jacket lol

The "who wore it best" articles are always so subjective. Generally, the outfit looks great on both people and it all comes down to who you like more or who you think is prettier. I always feel bad for the "loser" in those magazines!! However, I LOVE how you styled a similar look! That little jacket looks comfy and chic altogether!
