I know this might sound silly, but I've decided to grow taller! When I was in college, I was 5' 4" (162.5cm.) A few years later, I measured 5'3" (160cm). I blame the year I ran two half marathons. Recently, I went to my doctor's office and was measured at 5'3" and three quarters (162cm)! I made them do it twice to make sure it was accurate... I give credit to blogging and taking self-portraits, which has made me stand up straight more often. So, as long as I know I have the ability to grow, why not have a goal? 5'5" (165cm)? Or even taller? How exactly do I plan to achieve this, you ask? Here is my three point plan: keep standing/sitting up as tall as I can, sleep 8 hours a night, and eat healthy, local, non-processed food as much as possible. Wish me luck!
How do you feel about your height?

I'm quite happy with my height (170 cm) but with crazy heels I look slightly too tall, haha. no worries though.
ReplyDeletebtw, I like your casual outfit. it looks warm and those boots are so cool!

I've always fluctuated between 5'5" and 5'6", and I'm perfectly OK with it, but my posture is horrible so I guess I can only count on getting shorter as I get older :(
ReplyDeleteI think hanging upside down from your feet may loosen all those vertebrae in your spine and make you taller...just sayin, maybe you can try it out:)
ReplyDeleteYou're right, all those things: eating right, sleeping, standing up straight are great...but, you know you're just right the way you are! Happy Monday
Haha, I love that you're determined to grow! I can't remember the last time the dr actually measured my height...usually they just ask me and that's what they write down. I've accepted and embraced my shortness :)

too funny, how about higher heels?
ReplyDeleteI think growing taller is a fun goal - go for it! I am trying to sit straighter and improve my posture too. And when I really need to be taller, I just go for tall shoes, he he.
ReplyDeleteLooks windy and chilly out there!
let me know if it works! i wouldn't mind a few more inches!! i love the boots!
ReplyDeleteWell , I'm only 5'2" so you've got me beat. I think you're on the right track to stay on the up & up. Remember, tho, that sometimes the best things come in small packages ;)

I've shrank 1/2"! But maybe it's pregnancy doing funny things to my height. I'll keep doing yoga and cross my fingers I'll regain my full 5'7" afterwards. :)
ReplyDeleteI used say I was 5'7" but I'm really 5'9". I slouch so I feel shorter. I know when I workout more consistently I feel taller.
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're so funny, let me know if that works because I'd love to grow taller. I'm only 5'2!

very pretty look !!
ReplyDeleteYour take on this outfit is stunning!
ReplyDeleteAs for height, I usually say I'm the height of nonsense but now that you and I are the exact same height perhaps I shouldn't say it anymore... Grow, quickly, so I can use it again!
You picked a great outfit to restyle, I love simple outfits like this!
ReplyDeleteAnd please keep me updating with your growing project, I'd also love to be a bit taller ;-)
haha, you are so cute, thanks for your sweet comment! yes, I'll tell you when I decided about a new way to wear it and as far as for your yellow pants: what about blue? navy striped? white lace? a chambray shirt? camel?

Who wooda thunk...I think it is the blogging photos...that stand tall always does a world of good.
ReplyDeletePosture can improve one's height--though we might have to put you on a stretching rack to meet your goal. I'm just shy of 5'8" and feel comfortable with that, though wearing heels around shorter guys feels like a problem sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYour look is a perfect take on the inspiration!
i like your boots, & all your outtake shots! it's nice to see flowers blooming too. i feel like i'm short. i've always been short. i accept it. i do like to wear heels. :)
ReplyDeletecongrats on the win! i'm really into lush products lately -- this seems like another take on the same concept, very interesting.
ReplyDeleteamen fashion xo.
V, I am ok with my height at 5'1". I would like to be less weight and more in shape which makes people appear taller plus if I stand up straighter and keep exercising I could appear even taller. Right? Like super model tall!!! I like your take a lot. Simple and really cute. I like your plan to grow taller. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
ReplyDeleteMy height is good....some cute boys in my high school days were shorter...I'm 5'5" works ok...I think you did a great job on that inspiration piece.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you are getting taller! The atmosphere is terrific up here I swear it!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate being tall... but the older I get, the more I appreciate it. Except the part about having to mail order ALL of my pants from a special web site... thats not so fun.
