My new food of the week was the Carne Asada Plato at my favorite Mexican restaurant,
La Carta de Oaxaca. I'm almost hesitant to write about it as I don't want the wait times to increase- it was a half hour wait for a table Saturday night, but we've heard as much as an hour and forty-five minutes before! They don't take reservations, either! I have to be honest and say the carne asada wasn't special. It was good. But I'm used to things being
amazing there, not merely good! Next time, we're sticking to the guacamole (best in town), the mole negro oaxaqueno (best in the world) and maybe the spicy fish soup if it's cold out. That soup kind of kicked my butt the last time we had it, but I'm ready to show that thing who's boss!
Do you like Mexican food?

I really like this outfit - the top is lovely. I like Mexican food, but haven't had any for a while. I love love love avocados!
ReplyDeleteI love that blouse, absolutely and totally love it!
ReplyDeleteWe love Mexican here at Blether House, so much so that last week was Mexican week...but since most of the 'Mexican' food in this area is of the Taco Bell variety I make my own. Including things like carne asada, carnitas, etc...
Some things are worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteI really like mexican food, I made chilli con carne for dinner :)
I LOVE that top, it's such a great print & I love the colours xo
I haven't even tried Mexican food, so no opinions from me. my home town has no special restaurants anyway, so I have to cook every day, haha.
ReplyDeletebtw, I like that blouse you're wearing. great colours and great pattern!

I love that top! And I LOVE Mexican food. My mouth watered when I looked at that heaping scoop of guac :)
ReplyDeleteMmm that guac looks so good! I love Mexican food. There's this Mexican restaurant near me that serves HUGE platters of food and it's like $8, so cheap.

I don't like Mexican food, I LOVE Mexican food. It's one of my favorites to go out for! And not just for margaritas - though they don't hurt. But I just love a good burrito or taco from out, they're always better than I can make at home!
ReplyDeleteYour top is awesome - so many different colors! I bet you could wear it with most anything!
aw :( it's always kind of weird when you like a restaurant, but dont love it. like a 3 star. it's good, but not enough for me to write a lot about it. it SOUNDS good though - i'm looking at their menu now. maybe i'm just hungry lol? and i LOVE this outfit - the stripes in the blouse match the green guacamole - which you maybe did on purpose? tehe. and that arrow necklace is so pretty
