1. Thank you to my shy readers who came forward yesterday. I'm so happy to have kinda met you!
2. My hair is driving me crazy. I kinda hate it lately. A friend's email asked recently, "When are you going to rock that short sassy haircut again?" And that question is totally haunting me. I'm itching to cut it. But then I remembered one of the reasons I've grown it (besides HH asking me to, because he thinks it's "so pretty" and how is one to resist that?) is my goal to grow ten inches of it to donate to Locks of Love. There. I said it publicly. Now I have to do it... Only four more inches to go!
3. Speaking of HH, he took me out for a lunch date at the Des Moines marina (pictured above) to help ease the pain of me being back to work this week. I had a very nice time. Too bad his shrimp sandwich was kinda gross. And too bad the restaurant doesn't make gazpacho, which is really all I wanted. My clam chowder and sourdough bread were quite tasty, although kind of an odd choice for a hot day.

I love hot weather and I don;t change my diet no matter if it is fall winter or summer. I love pastas, lots of bread cheese and wine! ;)

People who are able to donate to locks of love are awesome! I think I love my long hair too much to donate it, and not sure if it's in good enough condition to anyway. Plus, I've tried a short pixie cut before and it was BADDDDD. Never again. Do you have pics on your blog of your short haircut? I WANT TO SEEE!

It was hot today and I ate pizza for lunch and a hamburger for dinner. it was a busy day that is why I am blogging late. tomorrow is going to be busy too and I will probably eat at a buffet with friends -- that's the plan anyway.

ReplyDeleteIn summer I like prosciutto & melon - it's refreshing and the mix of salty and sweet flavours is a match made in heaven (very popular entree in Italy)
That is such a great skirt, I love the colour & the shoulder detail on your top is cute too.
I like fresh salads with mozzarella or feta and of course ice cold water and beer, hehe.

I like the shorter hair on you from the pictures you have shown as well as this current look. And thanks, I am glad you like my current obsession with 90s fashion!! My mom see the stuff that looks like stuff she used to wear and rolls her eyes, the same way she does when I wear 80s styles too. hahaha Oh and sorry about school/work starting back up for you.

Hi Vivienne! Yay for me catching up with you and your blog. I donated my hair in November to Pantene's hair donation. It felt amazing and I am so glad I did it. My hair stylist at the time used to make wigs for people who needed them and told me that Locks of Love charged people for their wigs, so I went with Pantene's program.
