Hello Friends!
I spent the last few days in Juneau, Alaska with some family and friends.
Here are a few highlights:
Seals? Sea Otters? in Gastineau Harbor feasting on spawning salmon.
Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls on a misty, rainy day.
These raincoats and rainpants got a lot of use!
Raingear came in especially handy on this wet, muddy, steep hike up Mount Roberts!
We had one sunny day and we enjoyed it by hiking to Herbert Glacier.
It got warm enough for a t-shirt!
I rode this bike on part of the trail and it was SO fun! I haven't biked since I was a kid!
One day of sunshine...
I wore this thrifted, vintage hand-knit Austrian cardigan just about every day...
How was your weekend?

Your photos are absolutely amazing. I'm more of a tropical vacation taker, but I think you may have just changed my mind. I love these!
ReplyDeleteMy weekend was NOT this cool. Not even close. We installed backsplash in the kitchen, painted, removed wall paper glue and...did a lot of sweating. Haha! I have never been to Alaska and really want to go. It looks gorgeous. Wish I was there this past weekend!

That looks like an amazing weekend. Unfortunately I spent MY weekend being sick, so yeah... no comparison.
ReplyDeleteWhwwwoow. Nice rain gear...much needed in Alaska. I went their in August, and had to keep all of the layers on...all of the time. So glad I took some layers when I left 100˚ weather. Your blue t dress is a great match. Can't wait to see the items from you art challenge. 75 cent cardigan..super!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Alaska is breathtaking! I watch the Travel Channel a lot and you see pics on there of how beautiful it is, and so it's great to see from your pics that it's just as exquisite. Glad you had a great time. Love the pathways and trails! It makes you want to explore.
