Is it bad that after almost two months off, I worked five days this week and am totally bitter about it?
Is it bad that I actually thought this outfit was appropriate for work today?
Is it bad that a woman complimented my bag, ran her hand over it, toyed with the tassel and I got incredibly irritated with her?
Is it bad that a mucky-muck lady at work who was really rude and condescending to me once apparently broke her leg this summer and I don't feel bad for her at all?

Okay, so first of all: I like your outfit, I think it's comfy and stylish, great - I mean aren't these sneakers in a type of mint-green? And hey this is a color mix - so the outfit is totally great.
ReplyDeletethen, well, no, I think going back to work after such a long holiday is difficult, I felt the same when I still was in college after the summer holidays, and why should a teacher feel differently? That wouldn't be fair ;-)
And for the last two things: no, it's totally okay to be irritated by a stranger touching your things and well, we can't have a place in our heart for everyone, especially not for not-nice people ;-)

So....that junk lady who busted her leg.....you didn't feel bad for her, but did you laugh a little out loud? If you did, I feel a little closer to you. If not, you at least smiled out loud, right?

Ha! I think someone should come up with a name for the feeling teachers get at the end of summer. I think your outfit is appropriate for pre-planning (or has school actually started for you?). And that woman touching your stuff... How rude!? People can be so weird!
ReplyDeleteNo kids yet, it's just been trainings for the last two weeks. I had no idea this outfit was so casual and clearly weekend-wear when I put it on in the morning. And I took the photos after work so it was too late to change! I wasn't the worst or most casually dressed, but I just like to look nicer for work!
