This is what I put on to join my family for this morning's regular bowling date. I meant to grab my usual trusty black cashmere scarf but I couldn't find it (don't worry, it was just upstairs) and ended up with this green scarf instead. I don't usually wear green on green, but this sweater is ivory, pale green, and dark green, so I figured a darker green scarf couldn't clash too much. My brother complimented me by saying, "I like how you didn't dress like the weather." I was confused because I thought this outfit was very weather appropriate considering it's 40 degrees and pouring. He clarified, "I mean, you're not wearing gray, blue, and black." Oh. Now I'm trying to think if that's what I usually wear to bowl...
I'm posting a close-up of my raincoat's hood cincher. I wrote a couple days ago about how I appreciate quality details like this, especially when Lucy and I are at the mercy of the weather twice daily. This jacket also made it onto my Christmas wish list because it's made by Patagonia, which, according to better world shopper, is one of the most responsible clothing companies out there. Also, it's yellow, my new favorite color.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Outfit Highlights:
- raincoat, Christmas gifted from significant other after wish list request
- cashmere striped sweater, thrifted, originally from Banana Republic, current cpw 3/3=$1
- circle scarf from Loft
